The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced, highly organised Operations Manager to work closely with our Director and help keep the business running smoothly day to day. This is a varied, autonomous role perfectly suited to someone with strong experience in a busy small business, professional services, construction or trade environment.

It will suit someone reliable, practical and proactive who is looking for a stable, long-term role they can make their own.

Key Responsibilities

Coordinate and schedule field survey crews, ensuring efficient job allocation and on-time delivery.

Manage client enquiries, bookings, invoicing and assist with fee proposals and quoting.

Oversee job workflows from initial enquiry through to final deliverable and client sign-off.

Liaise with subcontractors, suppliers and utility authorities; manage purchasing and stock.

Support HR functions including team performance, reviews and recruitment coordination.

Assist the bookkeeping team member with accounts, reconciliations and financial reporting in QuickBooks.

Maintain and continuously improve internal systems, processes and client experience standards.

Provide general office administration and operational support to the Director.

About You

You are calm under pressure, highly organised and confident managing competing priorities. You communicate clearly, follow through properly, and can work independently without needing to be micromanaged. You will bring:

Demonstrated experience in operations, office management or service coordination.

Strong organisational, communication, numerical skills and meticulous attention to detail.

Confidence in dealing with clients, staff and external stakeholders.

A reliable, professional and practical approach to problem-solving.

Full Australian working rights.

Experience in land surveying, construction, professional services, bookkeeping, or marketing would be highly regarded but is not essential.
