Nursing Specialist
Delivering quality care to clients in the Child and Family Health Service requires a unique blend of skills and qualifications. As a Registered Nurse (RN) with expertise in this area, you will be instrumental in providing person-centred care to clients, assessing their needs, and planning services that cater to their requirements.
Main Responsibilities:
* Client assessment and care planning
* Collaboration with other disciplines to ensure seamless service delivery
* Supporting student learning and staff development
* Participating in quality improvement initiatives and evidence-based practice
For the RN2 – Clinical Nurse role, additional responsibilities include overseeing team/unit care, leading portfolios or unit-specific responsibilities, and contributing to organisation-wide projects or guidelines.
Requirements:
* Registered Nurse or Midwife with current AHPRA registration
* Strong communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills
* Ability to prioritise workload and apply flexibility in care
* Demonstrated competence in safe, high-quality nursing/midwifery practice
* Knowledge of legislation, standards, and quality improvement systems
The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 3 years post-registration experience and have experience supervising students, enrolled nurses, and less experienced staff.
