Reporting to both the Financial Controller and the General Manager, Claremont Quarter, the Property Accountant is responsible for maintaining strong financial management, including accurate and timely financial reporting, forecasting, budgeting, and, when required, feasibility modeling.
Responsibilities
* Supporting the financial management of the Claremont Quarter portfolio.
* Financial reporting to internal management including budgeting, reforecasting, accruals, VOs and variance analysis.
* Maintaining long‐term financial forecasts ensuring reliability, accuracy and reasonableness of assumptions applied.
* Financial (Yardi) system maintenance and administration.
* Scrutinising and analysing information generated by systems and/or provided by property team members.
* Preparation and presentation of monthly and quarterly review reports.
* Collaborating with cross‐functional teams to gather and validate financial data, and identify opportunities for improvement, including continual and detailed review of property expenses and identification of improvement/efficiency opportunities.
* Managing and coordinating VO and Promotional fund audits.
About you
* Tertiary qualification in accounting with a minimum of 3 years in a similar position of Finance Manager or Property Accountant (CA preferred).
* Knowledge of property valuations.
* Related experience in financial accounting; systems and reporting processes with previous exposure to property forecasting & valuation systems.
* Highly proficient in the use of computers and able to quickly learn new systems with training.
