About the Role
We’re looking for reliable and hardworking General Hands who enjoy fast-paced, hands-on work and being part of a supportive team environment. Working alongside our dedicated staff and volunteers, you’ll play an important role across all areas of the warehouse including unpacking, sorting, packing, loading, and unloading a wide range of donated goods to help keep our Vinnies stores stocked with quality items.
This is a physically active role involving regular manual handling and lifting within a busy warehouse environment, making it ideal for someone who enjoys staying on the move and working as part of a team.
This casual position will require availability across weekdays and Saturdays.
About You
You will be a team player with a positive attitude and have proven ability and commitment to undertake hands on work and focus on repetitive sorting tasks.
You will be physically fit with the ability to work in an environment which requires active movement and regular lifting of items within National Standard for Manual Handling guidelines. For example, manual handling of bags up to 15 kilograms and shared loads of furniture of varying weights.
Successful applicants will be required to complete a National Police Check and hold, or obtain, a Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP) card prior to commencement.
