Your new role As an AWS Cloud Engineer, you will play a key role in supporting the organisation's cyber remediation efforts. You will be responsible for identifying, troubleshooting, and resolving cloud-related vulnerabilities and infrastructure issues across AWS environments.You will work hands-on across AWS services to ensure environments are secure, compliant, and optimised, taking ownership of remediation activities end-to-end.Key Responsibilities Analyse, troubleshoot, and remediate AWS infrastructure issues across services such as EC2, S3, IAM, VPC, RDS, and more Identify and address misconfigurations, vulnerabilities, and operational risks within cloud environments Implement and enforce cloud security best practices and frameworks (CIS, AWS Well-Architected Framework, Zero Trust) Take ownership of the remediation life cycle - from risk identification through to resolution Support and enhance the organisation's overall cloud security posture Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of remediation outcomes Drive continuous improvement through a proactive and self-driven approach What you'll need to succeed Proven hands-on experience working within AWS cloud environments Strong expertise in cloud infrastructure remediation and optimisation Solid understanding of cloud security principles and frameworks Demonstrated ability to independently manage and resolve complex issues Experience supporting cybersecurity or remediation programmes Strong problem-solving and stakeholder communication skills Relevant certifications are highly regarded: AWS Certified Solutions Architect AWS Security Specialty CISSP or equivalent What you'll get in return Opportunity to work on a large-scale cyber remediation program Exposure to complex AWS environments and modern security practices Flexible hybrid working arrangement Competitive daily rates and long-term contract potential What you need to do now Share your CV at sourabh.kumar@hays.com.au If you're interested in this role, click 'apply now' to forward an up-to-date copy of your CV, or call us now.
