Hourly rate range: $27.35 to $34.78 (plus Super plus NFP Salary Packaging)

genU is looking for Support workers who can team up with our customers to help them unleash their full potential. You will be making a real impact by helping people with disabilities through accommodation and community engagement.

What you’ll do
- Support person-centred plans that identify a customer’s life goals and working to achieve them;
- Join customers in the community and do recreational activities;
- Support customers in daily living skills such as meal preparation, housekeeping, showering and toileting, medication administration and attending appointments;
- Ensure positive behaviour support plans are followed; and
- Administration duties and mandatory reporting
What you’ll bring
- Well developed interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective working relationships;
- Ability to follow Person Centred plans and assist people to achieve their goals and outcomes;
- An understanding and enthusiasm for working alongside people with disabilities;
- Previous experience with manual handling and medication administration;
- Willingness to assist with personal care and domestic duties experience;
- A valid drivers licence and willingness to transport customers in a company van or use your private vehicle (aligned with genU motor vehicle allowance rebate).
(You’ll also need an NDIS Worker Screening Check and Orientation Module Certificate – but don’t worry, we’ll help guide you through this.)
