TalentWeb is partnering with Impact North to appoint up to three Non-Executive Directors as the organisation enters an important next phase of growth. Impact North is an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander-controlled organisation supporting First Nations entrepreneurs and communities across Northern Australia.
About the role
This is not a steady-state governance role. Impact North is in an active phase of maturation — building the governance, systems and strategic clarity that will shape its future — and is seeking Directors who are genuinely energised by contributing during that process.
Experience sought
* NT/place-based connection — the Board has a minimum commitment of two Directors with NT cultural connections
* Financial sustainability and funding environments relevant to community or impact-led organisations
* Board or senior leadership experience, including community governance
* Indigenous business, community-informed engagement or social impact
* Networks across NT government, community organisations, funding bodies or corporate sectors
About you
This is an identified position open to individuals who identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander. You will bring a strong understanding of First Nations communities and contexts, and genuine interest in contributing during a phase of organisational evolution.
Time commitment
* 4 x quarterly Board meetings (primarily online)
* 1 x annual budget and approval meeting
* 1 x AGM
* 1 x in-person strategy session per year (2–3 days, travel covered)
Remuneration
This is a paid Board role. Directors receive an attendance fee of $300 per meeting attended. Reasonable out-of-pocket expenses are reimbursed.
