Chief Executive Officer - Private Mental Health
Aurora Healthcare is an innovative healthcare operator with 16 hospitals across Australia. We specialise in mental health, rehabilitation, specialty medical, and community services. This role oversees our established 104-bed private mental health hospital on the Gold Coast, with opportunities to lead upcoming service expansions.
Role Overview
The CEO is responsible for the overall operational, financial, and clinical performance of the hospital. Key priorities include attracting and engaging skilled doctors (VMOs) and staff, executing the hospital's strategic business plan, and maintaining high standards of patient care.
Key Responsibilities
* Clinical Governance: Ensure high-quality patient care and total compliance with private health regulations, quality frameworks, and WHS standards.
* Strategic Growth: Drive revenue growth by identifying and executing service developments, expansions, and community partnerships.
* Medical Engagement: Build strong relationships with specialist doctors and referrers to attract and retain a premier medical workforce.
* Financial Oversight: Manage the hospital budget, evaluate strategic business outcomes, and oversee capital expenditure decisions.
* Team Leadership: Lead the Hospital Executive team and foster a collaborative, high-performance workplace culture.
Required Qualifications and Experience
* Hospital Leadership: Substantial experience in hospital management at an executive level, with a strong preference for private mental health facilities.
* Medical Recruitment: Proven track record in doctor recruitment, engagement, and developing referral networks.
* Qualifications: Tertiary qualification in Health, Business, or Management. A clinical background in mental health is highly regarded.
* Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of the private health sector, legislative requirements, and clinical risk frameworks.
