The Western Australian public school system is a major contributor to the State's prosperity and growth as a fair society promoting the wellbeing and participation of all its citizens. In the WA Department of Education, our strategic directions focus on every student, every classroom, every day with aspiration to provide every student with a pathway to a successful future.

Delivery of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) services provides support for the Department's educational outcomes by developing initiatives and technical support strategies to ensure all 800 Western Australian public schools can be individualized, distinctive and responsive to their local communities while still benefiting from being part of a system.

The ICT Architecture and Systems Analysis branch contributes to our strategic directions by providing effective governance and support for the delivery of innovative and secure digital capability. Through solution architecture, we collaboratively design IT solutions with stakeholders, managing the entire solution design lifecycle. This includes analysing requirements and technology environments, selecting appropriate technologies, creating both high-level and detailed designs, planning implementation, overseeing solution development, and providing project support. Your expertise will enhance the Enterprise Architecture Repository and solution designs, while also ensuring that any changes affecting customer interactions are well-communicated and managed. Additionally, you will investigate and resolve complex ICT issues, providing strategic solutions that align with the Department's objectives.

This position requires a strong understanding of ICT governance, security frameworks, IT architecture concepts and compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements. You will work closely with internal and external stakeholders, providing expert advice on ICT solutions, data security, and enterprise architecture.
