Full Time Receptionist (12 Month Fixed Contract) - Fitzroy Veterinary Hospital

Fitzroy Veterinary Hospital is a small animal veterinary practice that has been a feature of the local area for many years, we are very proud to offer a complete range of veterinary services - providing every patient and every family unique and individually tailored health care. We are currently seeking a warm, friendly, organised, and self‐motivated receptionist to join the team!
Your duties would include, but are not limited to:
* Managing up to five incoming telephone lines as well as serving in‐clinic clients
* Greeting clients and their pets and managing new patient registrations
* Diary management/scheduling appointments
* Taking payments and balancing the till at the end of the day
* Product sales and client education
* Ensuring front of house is always clean and presentable
* Consists of morning and afternoon shifts – Clinic is open 8am – 6pm weekdays
* Saturday shift rotation, typically 1 in 4 Saturdays – Clinic is open 9am – 1pm on Saturday and not open Sunday
The ideal candidate should possess:
* Reception experience – ideally in a similar environment eg. vet clinic, doctors' office, hospital, dentist, etc.
* High Standard Customer Service skills – necessary and a priority, helping strengthen the human-animal bond
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Computer literate, ideally with experience in scheduling appointments and managing a customer database
* Ability to work as part of a team but also autonomously when required
* Great time management skills with the ability to multitask
* Ability to keep calm under pressure
