NOW HIRING – PACKAGING / FORKLIFT OPERATORS
As one of Australia's largest cane growers, Bundaberg Sugar proudly operates a Sugar Mill, Refinery, and Packaging Plant in East Bundy. We are more than just a company, we are a vital part of the industry and community in Bundaberg, Queensland.
Become part of a well-established industry leader! Bundaberg Sugar Ltd is seeking several Packaging / Forklift Operators to join the packaging team on a casual basis, with the opportunity to transition into a permanent full-time role.
This role involves shift work across a 4-week rotating cycle, including 8-hour and 12-hour shifts covering day, afternoon, and night shifts. Operating on a 6-day roster and required to work 2 weekends out of every 4.
Key Responsibilities
* Packing various products using relevant equipment to meet production targets, in line with established operational parameters and plans.
* Operate line at a production rate that matches or exceeds required / expected production rates.
* Operating forklifts safely and efficiently.
* Loading and unloading trucks.
* Moving stock within the warehouse or site.
* Assisting with general warehouse duties as required.
* Adhering to workplace health and safety procedures.
About You
* Experience in packaging processes, Quality requirements and related maintenance skills.
* Current drivers licence.
* Experienced in operating packaging machine.
* Current High Risk Work Licence (LF) – mandatory.
* Proven forklift experience in a warehouse, manufacturing, or industrial environment.
* Confident in loading and unloading trucks safely and efficiently.
* Ability to stack and unstack pallets at height.
* Experience with pallet racking systems.
* Shift work experience an advantage.
