About The Role
We are seeking applications for a Laboratory Technician to join our modern, NATA‐accredited laboratory. The role involves preparing samples for analysis, working across multiple areas, and driving to sites to collect samples. Your role will be crucial in ensuring smooth operation of our laboratory processes.
Responsibilities
* Sample preparation & analysis: Prepare and analyse samples, ensuring tests are conducted within the required holding time.
* Quality control: Follow all quality control protocols to maintain high standards.
* Safety: Comply with laboratory safety procedures and proper PPE usage.
* Documentation: Complete all documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
* Housekeeping: Maintain a clean and organised workspace through regular housekeeping.
About You
* Exceptional attention to detail.
* Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written).
* Ability to juggle competing priorities and meet deadlines in a fast‐paced environment.
* A proactive, 'can-do' attitude.
* Strong teamwork skills.
* A degree in Science.
* An interest or degree in Microbiology is essential.
* Previous experience in a similar role is desirable.
* Must have a driver's license.
