Key Role in Manufacturing Process Development
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Process Engineer to join our global headquarters in Macquarie University.
In this position, you will play a key role in developing and implementing safe, scalable, stable and robust manufacturing processes across the manufacturing network for both new and commercially available products.
You will work within a matrixed and collaborative Process Engineering function, supporting diverse customer groups such as supply chain and R&D, and making an active contribution to achieving our mission of helping people around the world hear and be heard.
Your Key Responsibilities
1. Developing stable and reliable manufacturing processes within Cochlear and at suppliers of manufactured components.
2. Supporting the supply chain and R&D group project execution by developing and implementing safe, scalable, stable and robust manufacturing processes across the manufacturing network for new and commercially already available product.
3. Ensuring that manufacturing processes and associated documents comply with Cochlear QMS and international regulation.
4. Responsibility for meeting the manufacturing strategy by relocating/ duplicating processes across the manufacturing network.
5. Ensuring that business needs are met and projects are delivered on time and on cost.
About You
To succeed in this role, you will need:
* Tertiary qualifications in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Biomedical or Electrical Engineering.
* Preferably 2+ years in a similar engineering role within a highly regulated industry.
* Experience in either process development or mechanical design.
* Experience developing and introducing manufacturing processes and products internally or at an external supplier.
* Experience in risk management methodology.
* Experience in validation of verification of manufacturing processes.
