Maintenance Officer – Temporary Contract (Up to 6 Months)
Location: Gumleigh Gardens, NSW
Employment Type: Full-Time Temporary Contract (Workers Compensation Backfill)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 4:00pm

The Opportunity
UPA is seeking an experienced Maintenance Officer to join our team at Gumleigh Gardens on a temporary contract of up to six months, with possibility to go permanent.
This position has arisen to provide cover during a workers compensation absence and offers an excellent opportunity to join a supportive team while contributing to the comfort, safety and wellbeing of our residents.
Key Responsibilities
* Carry out preventative and reactive maintenance works
* Maintain buildings, equipment and grounds to a high standard
* Complete routine inspections and maintenance schedules
* Respond to maintenance requests in a timely manner
* Ensure the facility remains safe and hazard‐free
* Assist with contractor management and site improvements
* Support compliance with workplace health and safety standards
About You
You will have:
* Previous experience in a Maintenance Officer, Facilities or Handyperson role
* Strong general maintenance skills across building repairs and upkeep
* Excellent time management and organisational skills
* Ability to work independently
* Strong customer service focus
* Current Driver's Licence
* Commitment to supporting older Australians
