Deputy Director Enterprise Asset Management Design & Practice
The Department of Defence is seeking a high-performing EL1 Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) subject matter expert working in the Operate and Sustain Asset Value Chain. This role supports the implementation and continuous improvement of SAP‑enabled EAM processes across Defence, with a preference for candidates experienced in the Land, Maritime, or Air domains. The position is integral to Defence's transformation under the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Program and plays a key role in driving the design and practice of standardised and integrated asset management across capability platforms.
The EL1 Deputy Director Enterprise Asset Management Design & Practice is responsible for leading the end‑to‑end design, governance, and optimisation of asset management business processes. This role is pivotal in shaping how Defence manages the value chain of capability assets across all Defence environmental domains – Maritime, Land and Air – from acquisition, engineering and configuration, through sustainment and maintenance, to disposal. The EL1 role supports the ERP transformation for CASG and the broader Defence EAM business community, contributing to functional design, process alignment, user requirement definition, and change enablement across the next tranche of the Defence ERP Program. The successful candidate will play a key role in embedding contemporary asset lifecycle management practices within SAP S/4HANA, aligned to Defence strategic objectives, regulatory frameworks, and interoperability with allied and industry partners.
