Work Health and Safety Officer Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Work Health and Safety Officer to join our team. As a key member of our organisation, you will play a vital role in ensuring the well-being of employees, contractors, and visitors on site.
About the Role
The successful candidate will work closely with our senior leadership team and other stakeholders to embed best practice WHS principles in accordance with our safety management system.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide expert advice and support to our executive leadership team and employees to meet the requirements of relevant legislation.
* Develop and implement risk management systems, including risk registers and assessments.
* Participate in regular audit and inspection programs to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
* Create and deliver comprehensive WHS induction programs for new staff members.
* Utilise computer systems and possess excellent word processing skills to maintain accurate records and reports.
* Be highly organised and efficient, with strong attention to detail to ensure timely completion of tasks.
* Contribute to the development of safety policies and procedures that align with industry standards.
* Provide first aid and assist in treating illnesses and injuries onsite.
