Senior NIES Service Desk Analysts (3 Roles)

Cleared Recruitment is partnering with the Australian Department of Defence to engage three (3) Senior APS6-level Service Desk Analysts under the DMP2 ICT Labour Hire panel (RFQ LH-06314).

Role Overview

Join the Australian Signals Directorate (ASD), a key Defence agency responsible for protecting Australia's national interests through intelligence, cyber security, and advanced ICT capabilities.

As a Senior Service Desk Analyst, you'll be the first point of contact for ICT support within a highly secure and complex environment. You will provide incident management, system support, and technical troubleshooting, ensuring operational continuity for critical Defence systems.

Key Details

* RFQ ID: LH-06314
* Location: Canberra (ACT) or Melbourne (VIC)
* Work Type: Onsite only (no WFH available)
* Start Date: 2 November 2026
* Contract: 12 months + 2 x 12-month extensions
* Hours: Up to 40 hours per week
* Clearance: Must hold or obtain TSPV (Positive Vetting)
* Engagement Type: DMP2 ICT Labour Hire

Key Responsibilities

* Provide first-line ICT support and incident resolution in a secure environment
* Diagnose, prioritise, and resolve incidents; elevate where required
* Install, configure, and maintain software and applications
* Support incident management processes and continuous improvement
* Develop and maintain technical and support documentation
* Monitor compliance with Defence standards and procedures
* Engage with stakeholders to communicate system issues and impacts
* Contribute to audits, reporting, and operational improvement activities
* Support system integration and ensure service reliability across platforms

Essential Skills & Experience

* Proven experience in complex service desk / helpdesk environments
* Strong incident management and application support capability
* Experience with system installation, configuration, and updates
* Understanding of cloud platforms and systems integration
* Ability to communicate complex technical information clearly to varied audiences

Desirable

* Experience with Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence)
* Background in the Defence Intelligence environment
* Familiarity with enterprise ICT environments and integrated systems

Security Requirements

* Must hold or be eligible to obtain Positive Vetting (TSPV)
* Candidates undergoing clearance upgrades may be considered
* Must complete ASD's Organisational Suitability Assessment (OSA)
