Position Description
Peel Community Mental Health Services operates at 50 Montsalvat Drive Greenfields. The Welfare Officer works under a social worker, assessing and prioritising consumer welfare needs, providing assistance to access benefits and other requirements, liaising with government and service providers, and working with multidisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive social welfare services.
Responsibilities
* Assess and prioritise consumers' welfare needs.
* Provide direct assistance to access benefits and other requirements.
* Liaise with government and other service providers to provide necessary assistance.
* Work with Community Treatment and Assertive Treatment multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive social welfare service.
Qualifications & Requirements
Applicants must be citizens or permanent residents of Australia (no sponsorship). A valid Australian working visa is required for fixed-term appointments. Criminal record screening and integrity checks, and a Working With Children check may be required.
