What role will you play?
Through partnering with engineering teams across Macquarie, you will develop and drive the adoption of SRE best practices and tooling. You will collaborate with the engineering community on capabilities that empower reliability across the organisation, tackling challenges such as resilience, capacity planning, change management, system design and observability (SLOs, metrics, monitoring and alerts).
What you offer
* Strong experience in software engineering and system design utilising Java, with the ability to provide root‑cause analysis and troubleshooting/debugging Java applications in production;
* Understanding of SLOs, metrics, logs and traces and their correct use;
* Excellent knowledge of reliability patterns (circuit breakers, rate limiting, bulkheads, etc.) and experience implementing them at scale;
* Knowledge of how to leverage AI to improve productivity and product outcomes;
* Ability to influence change, manage stakeholders and provide scalable solutions;
* Strong DevOps fundamentals with preference for Java, Golang, micro‑services and other cloud technologies;
* Experience in APM and observability tools.
