EQoL Network Engineer
Contract position, 10 month period in the Defence sector. The role is based in Canberra, ACT.
Base pay range
A$110.00/hr - A$135.00/hr
Responsibilities
* Support the rollout of the EQoL system across 52 vessels in the Navy.
* Refine cross‐class designs to meet platform specific constraints; STW the EQoL system including configuring and installing network devices.
Minimum mandatory requirements
* AGSVA Security clearance.
* Defence experience.
* Ability to obtain construction white card.
* In‐depth understanding and experience of switching mechanisms, routing protocols, transmission protocols, routing, and troubleshooting of networks.
* Good understanding of virtualisation, SDN, Linux OS and desirable exposure to open‐source technologies.
* Basic understanding of Layer‐3 packet encryption, load balancing, network aggregation and network security.
* Ability to undertake and document network designs, lead project design reviews, engineering assessments and investigations of complex networks.
* Degree in ICT Networking or Communications Engineering.
* Cisco Certified Networking Professional (CCNP) Enterprise.
* Fortigate (Fortinet Certified Associate) or better.
* Formal Cybersecurity training.
