About The Role

Smith St Medical Centre is growing and expanding and seeking Casual Medical Receptionists to join our dynamic team in Charlestown, NSW. As a casual employee, you will provide essential administrative support to our medical practice, ensuring a smooth and efficient experience for our patients.

What You'll Be Doing
* Greeting and welcoming patients, and managing patient inquiries and bookings
* Providing exceptional customer service and addressing patient concerns in a professional and empathetic manner
* Managing patient records, including updating medical histories and processing new patient registrations
* Assisting with medical billing and processing insurance claims
* Maintaining a clean and organised reception area
* Providing general administrative support to the medical team as required
What We're Looking For
* Previous experience as a medical receptionist or in a customer service-oriented role in the healthcare industry
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with patients, medical staff and other stakeholders in a professional and empathetic manner
* Strong organisational and multitasking abilities, with the ability to prioritise tasks and work efficiently under pressure
* Proficiency in using medical practice management software and other relevant computer applications
* A genuine interest in the medical field and a commitment to providing high-quality patient care
