About Our Industry Partner – Make A Difference PMQ
Make A Difference PMQ (M.A.D) is a local charity dedicated to supporting our community through outreach, connection, and kindness. Men And Women At Work has been a long-time supporter and industry partner of M.A.D and is working with the charity as part of the recruitment process. Their programs rely on strong volunteer engagement and well-organised events to deliver support where it's needed most.
The Role
We are seeking an energetic and organised Volunteer and Events Coordinator to lead volunteer management and oversee the planning and delivery of community events. This is a dynamic role for someone who thrives on building relationships, coordinating teams, and making a tangible impact.
Key Responsibilities
• Recruit, induct, and support volunteers through the Volaby portal and in-person sessions.
• Chair monthly Activity Leader meetings and coordinate ongoing training.
• Plan and deliver community events from start to finish, liaising with clients, volunteers, and suppliers.
• Manage event logistics including menus, staffing, and equipment.
• Ensure safety, compliance, and positive experiences for all participants.
• Represent Make A Difference PMQ at community engagements.
About You
• Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt in fast-paced situations.
• Proficiency with Google Suite and willingness to learn new systems.
• Problem-solving skills and a positive, non-judgmental attitude.
• A genuine passion for helping people and supporting community initiatives.
Desirable: Experience coordinating volunteers, running events, and using Volaby or similar platforms.
