Helix Hearing (formally Gippsland Audiology & Eastern Audiology) have 11 clinics across Hobart, Melbourne and Gippsland. We are an independent private practice, offering a broad range of audiological services to the local paediatric and adult populations in the communities in which we operate. Priding ourselves on a fierce commitment to patient outcomes, we are on the lookout for 2 exceptional clinicians to join our experienced team, 1 in Bairnsdale and another in Morwell and Traralgon clinics.
Role Description
Helix Hearing currently has 2 opportunities available for audiologists, ideally with experience:
* Part-time/full-time audiologist in Bairnsdale - available for immediate start
* Part-time audiologist in Morwell/Traralgon - ideal start late August/early September
The primary responsibilities include conducting comprehensive hearing assessments, diagnosing hearing conditions, wax removal, bespoke hearing/communication solutions, providing patient-centered treatment plans, and fitting and fine-tuning hearing aids and devices. The Audiologist will work closely with other healthcare professionals and deliver excellent customer care to help clients achieve their hearing goals. Additional duties include maintaining patient records, educating clients on hearing health, and staying updated on advancements in audiology practices and hearing technologies.
Skills and Requirements
The position is ideally suited to audiologists with experience. Whilst the scope of practice at Helix Hearing is varied and broad, training will be provided to upskill in required areas, such as wax removal. All audiologists must be a member of a professional body (Audiology Australia or equivalent), and maintain membership including ongoing CPD requirements.

Qualifications, Requirements and Responsibilities
* Master's degree in Audiology or equivalent qualification
* Work in accordance with our mission statement and values.

* Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build patient trust and provide effective counseling
* Proficiency in hearing assessments, diagnostics, and treatment planning
* Experience with hearing aid fitting, adjustments, and device technology
* Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team
* Work within the team at your local clinic, as well as the boarder team.

* Full accreditation with Audiology Australia and possession of a current Clinical Certificate of Practice
