About the role
We are currently seeking experienced Pathology Collectors in and around the Moama area. Candidates must have at least 1 year of experience in Pathology.
Responsibilities
Your primary duties will be to take blood and other specimens from patients, including performing ECGs and Holter monitoring, and BP monitoring. You will also:
* Collect blood and other samples using the vacutainer method.
* Perform ECGs and Holter monitors.
* Collect paediatric and neonatal specimens.
* Process pathology specimens.
* Work independently and participate in weekend rosters at collection centres.
* Perform clerical duties and process paperwork.
* Communicate with the team, referring doctors, and patients.
* Maintain dedication to patient care and service delivery.
* Demonstrate organisational and problem‐solving skills.
* Prioritise tasks and work under pressure.
* Use basic computer skills.
* Comply with Work Health and Safety standards.
Qualifications & Requirements
* At least 1 year of experience in Pathology Collection.
* Venepuncture experience with vacutainer method.
* Experience in ECG and Holter monitoring.
* Experience in paediatric and neonatal collections.
* Basic computer proficiency.
* Own car and current driver's licence preferred.
* Current Working With Children check clearance upon commencement.
* Right to work in Australia.
