About The Role

At Vinarchy, we believe that great wine begins with great people — and caring for their health and wellbeing is at the heart of everything we do. The Medical Services Officer (MSO) plays a critical role in supporting the health, safety, and wellbeing of Vinarchy employees through the provision of frontline medical care, injury management, and wellness initiatives. In addition to providing direct health services, the MSO contributes to the strategic planning and continuous improvement of workplace health systems.

Reporting to the Global Safety and Sustainability Director, you will support Vinarchy’s proactive injury prevention and wellness culture by influencing key stakeholders, identifying emerging health trends, and aligning local practices with national and global wellbeing strategies.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide professional on‑site occupational health care and first aid for workplace injuries and illnesses.
- Lead medical response during critical incidents and maintain emergency readiness.
- Deliver physiotherapy support, early intervention, and injury prevention programs.
- Working with Vinarchy’s Injury Manager, coordinate return‑to‑work and case‑management processes to support recovery.
- Monitor health data to identify trends and recommend proactive wellbeing initiatives.
- Oversee compliance and delivery of health surveillance and wellness programs.
- Maintain accurate medical records and lead injury and health performance reporting.
- Drive continuous improvement in health, injury management, and physiotherapy services.
- Collaborate with Safety, HR, and site leaders to strengthen wellbeing culture.
- Promote safe work practices, ergonomics, and early reporting through engagement and education.

What You’ll Bring

- Qualification in Physiotherapy, Nursing, Paramedicine, or equivalent (e.g., Cert IV in Health Care or Occupational Health).
- Current First Aid & CPR certification (HLTAID011 or equivalent).
- Experience in first aid delivery, workplace health, or injury management.
- Physically able to respond across operational winery areas; driver’s licence required.
- Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, or on‑call duties during vintage or peak periods.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite software.
- The ability to work in a self‑directed manner and as part of a team.
- Possess initiative and problem‑solving capabilities.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Highly developed observational skills and attention to detail.
