Overview
We are seeking to establish a pool of Primary Teachers for permanent and fixed‐term, full‐time and part‐time vacancies which may arise during the 2026 school year. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.
Katanning Primary School (PS) is located in the Great Southern Region of WA. It is part of the Wheatbelt Education Region and the Great Southern Schools Network. Our school caters for students in KindiLink, for families with children from age 3, to Year 6.
Like our wider community, our school welcomes and appreciates its rich cultural diversity: over 30% of our students are Aboriginal and over 30% speak a language other than English at home. We value all that this contributes to our development of confident, socially responsible, successful students with broad perspectives, developing cultural understandings, and an increasingly knowledgeable worldview.
The Role
Katanning PS is seeking Primary Teachers who will have exceptional interpersonal skills, a natural ability to communicate effectively and foster genuine relationships with parents, students, and colleagues.
As a Primary Teacher, you would promptly establish a positive and inclusive classroom environment, setting high expectations and cultivating a growth mindset, while nurturing students' social and emotional development.
We are looking for applicants who can exhibit exemplary teaching skills, with a strong motivation to excel, and a commitment to delivering best practice. The capacity to excel in an environment characterised by whole‐school connected practice, collaborative team structures, and a commitment to ongoing professional growth is highly valued.
As a member of our team, you would leverage high‐impact teaching strategies and showcase experience in designing and delivering engaging literacy and numeracy programs. An understanding of differentiation to meet diverse student needs is highly valued, along with proficiency in utilising various assessment tools to inform progress, provide constructive feedback, and guide future classroom planning.
