The Team
The Child and Youth Mental Health Service (CYMHS) in Tasmania is growing! We are seeking passionate and dedicated clinicians to provide clinical services to children, young people and their families/significant others experiencing complex mental health concerns. These new positions will work alongside existing CYMHS services and have been developed as initiatives under the CYMHS reform program (Youth, Youth Forensic, Out of Home Care).

The Role
Undertake clinical services through the provision of complex case management, assessment, and individual therapies, including the development and implementation of specialised treatment programs for our new programs in either Youth Mental Health, Youth Forensic Mental Health and/or Out of Home Care.
Work alongside innovative team leaders and consultant psychiatrists to develop the new mental health services in Tasmania.
Work with an amazing and diverse group of clinicians as part of the collaborative multidisciplinary team, including the provision of support and consultation to other team members as required.
Applicants who have undertaken training in relevant and appropriate evidence-based therapeutic interventions that are developmentally appropriate such as Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Family Therapy and/or Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) would be highly regarded.
Responsibilities
* Deliver quality care to clients of Child and Youth Mental Health Service (CYMHS) based on best practice principles and within a collaborative and multi‐disciplinary framework.
* Provide a specialist assessment and treatment service to clients of CYMHS and their families or carers.
* Promote community awareness in relation to mental health and act as a consultant to other agencies with regard to the support and management of clients with mental health needs.

Details of Appointment
Multiple permanent, full‐time and part‐time, day worker positions, working up to 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible. Hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.
Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.
Salary
$110,425 to $121,907 pro rata per annum + our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
Salary range is in accordance with Allied Health Professionals Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement No. 2 of 2022.

* Access to salaries beyond $119,290 is subject to qualifications and/or application to the personal upgrade scheme.

Eligibility (Qualifications)
* Satisfactory completion of an approved allied health professional tertiary qualification/program of study and registered with the relevant National Board, or in the case of self‐regulated allied health professions, full membership/eligible for membership with the relevant professional association.
* Current Working with Children Registration.
* Registration/licences that are essential requirements of this role must remain current and valid at all times whilst employed in this role. The employee must advise the Employer if their circumstances change.
Desirable criteria include:
* Minimum of 2 years post graduate experience in an area relevant to the role.
* Postgraduate qualification or working towards a postgraduate qualification relevant to the role.
* Current Driver's Licence.
