We are seeking a motivated and organised Support Officer to join our collaborative Health Safety and Wellbeing team and contribute to initiatives that make a real difference across our university community.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to grow valuable skills in systems administration, reporting, stakeholder engagement and operational support within a complex and diverse organisation whilst working in an environment of wellbeing health and safety.

Responsibilities

* Support the day-to-day operations of the Health, Safety and Wellbeing team through high-quality administrative and coordination activities.
* Maintain health, safety and wellbeing systems, ensuring data accuracy, integrity and compliance.
* Assist with incident reporting processes, corrective action monitoring and workers compensation administration.
* Collect, analyse and prepare data, reports and insights that support informed decision-making and continuous improvement.
* Coordinate meetings, documentation, financial processes and team workflows.
* Develop and distribute communications that promote health, safety and wellbeing initiatives across the University.
* Build positive relationships with staff and stakeholders while providing responsive and professional support.

Qualifications

* Enjoy working with systems, data and processes and have a strong eye for detail.
* Are highly organised and able to manage competing priorities effectively.
* Have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Take pride in delivering quality customer service and building positive stakeholder relationships.
* Enjoy working collaboratively and contributing to team success.
* Are interested in developing your knowledge and experience in health, safety and wellbeing.

What we need from you

You will bring strong administrative capability, attention to detail and a proactive approach to supporting people and processes. Experience working with databases, reporting systems or business administration activities will be highly regarded, along with the ability to communicate effectively and build productive working relationships across a diverse stakeholder group.

* An FTE equivalent remuneration of $80,972 - $93,929 plus superannuation and excellent employment conditions in line with University of Newcastle professional staff conditions.
