Overview
As a clinician working in the Alcohol Tobacco and Other Drugs Service (ATODS), you will provide a broad range of drug and alcohol assessments and interventions to individuals, families and groups in the Townsville geographical area.
Employment Details
* Fixed term, temporary part‐time position
* 64 hours per fortnight
* Commencing 08/06/2026 – 04/07/2027, with possible 12‐month extension
* Probation period may apply
Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive drug and alcohol assessments and interventions, minimise harm from substance use, work with multidisciplinary teams, and support individuals, families and groups.
Requirements
* Mandatory qualifications: Nursing, Occupational Therapy, Psychology or Social Work
* Proof of registration where applicable
* Possession of class C driver's licence
* Vaccine Preventable Disease (VPD) risk role
* Blue Card Checks required for Social Work
Benefits
* Salary range: $97,843 to $102,777 per annum (HP3 / NG6-1)
* 4 to 6 weeks annual leave with 14%-17.5% loading
* 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation
