Job Description
Nortec IT Solutions is looking for an experienced Network and Hospitality Software Engineer for an immediate start. The position is full‐time, requires 38 hours per week and is based in Castle Hill, NSW.
Responsibilities
* Deploy, configure and validate advanced network infrastructure, including cloud environments, server platforms and software applications, ensuring interoperability, scalability and compliance with organisational requirements.
* Diagnose and resolve complex network, server, security and system faults through advanced analysis and root‐cause investigation to maintain continuity of IT services and minimise operational disruption.
* Monitor and evaluate network and system infrastructure performance to ensure systems remain correctly configured and operating at maximum efficiency.
* Assess network operations and integrated hardware, software and communication environments, recommending enhancements to improve performance, reliability and availability.
* Develop and implement network integration strategies (routing, switching, firewall configurations, security controls and high‐availability architectures) to strengthen system security and resilience.
* Support specialised network synchronisation and latency‐sensitive environments such as timing protocols (PTP/NTP) and performance‐critical hardware where required by infrastructure operations.
* Improve system quality by identifying issues and common patterns, and developing standard operating procedures.
* Enhance applications by identifying opportunities for improvement, making recommendations, and designing and implementing systems.
* Write, maintain, and improve existing codebases and peer‐review code changes.
* Liaise with colleagues to implement technical designs.
* Investigate and adopt new technologies where relevant, identifying limitations and inefficiencies.
* Provide written knowledge transfer material, including end‐user documentation and operational procedures.
Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field.
* Oracle Simphony certifications with a minimum of two years of hands‐on experience in implementation and support, covering all modules: Reporting and Analytics, Inventory, Database, API Programming, and Backend programming and coding.
* Professional certifications: Oracle Simphony Pre‐Sales Support, Oracle Simphony Engineer Certification, and a Microsoft certification (MCP or MCSA) as an administrator or professional.
* At least three years of experience in networking and systems engineering.
