This Federal Government agency is a leader in national research and innovation, playing a key role in supporting the future of South Australia. Located in Adelaide's Northern Suburbs, they are seeking someone to provide high-level administrative support to the Research Leader and broader team.
Your new role
As the Executive Assistant, you will provide high-level administrative and operational support to the Research Leader and the broader team. You will also be responsible for:
* Diary and inbox management, prioritising tasks to align with strategic objectives.
* Maintaining budget spreadsheets and compiling monthly summaries.
* Draft and distribute reports, presentations, and other documentation as required.
* Assist with procurement and other financial administration tasks under direction.
* Coordinate meetings, client engagements, and internal communications.
* Continuously improve internal workflows and support team coordination.
* Proofread and edit documents to ensure clarity and compliance with departmental standards.
* Liaise with stakeholders to resolve moderately complex issues and manage expectations.
* Support onboarding and mentoring of junior staff and contribute to a positive team culture.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:
* Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
* High attention to detail and a proactive, solution-focused approach.
* The ability to work independently under general guidance and exercise sound judgement.
* Experience in executive support, financial administration, and stakeholder engagement.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with government systems and processes.
Please note: A pre-existing NV1 Clearance is required to be considered for this role.
