Job Opportunity: Allied Health Assistant
We are looking for a qualified Allied Health Assistant to assist with routine foot care and provide basic advice on footwear.
* You will work under the supervision of a registered podiatrist, assisting with tasks such as trimming non-pathological nails, filing dry skin and callus, and sterilizing instruments.
* You will also document observations and interventions, and recognize when to refer to the supervising podiatrist or facility staff.

Key Responsibilities:
* Assist with routine foot hygiene, including cleaning and moisturizing.
* Trim non-pathological nails with nail clippers and file edges using a file.
* File dry skin/callus using file or foot dresser.
* Provide basic advice on footwear.
* Recognize when to refer to supervising podiatrist or facility staff.
* Documenting observations and interventions.
* Sterilization of instruments.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance and willingness to complete Podiatry-specific training (provided by Healthcare Australia Education).
* Full working rights in Australia.
* Driver's License and Car.
* National NDIS Worker Screening Check (with online NDIS Worker Orientation Module "Quality, Safety and You" certificate).
* Current season Influenza vaccination.
* COVID vaccinations and Booster.
