As the Recruitment Coordinator, you will work closely with brigade officers to attract, support and develop our volunteers. This role focuses on both bringing new members into the organisation and helping existing members grow, stay engaged and achieve their personal goals.
Duties may include:
* Assisting with the development and delivery of recruitment campaigns
* Identifying new and creative ways to promote volunteering within the community
* Supporting recruitment through social media, traditional media and online platforms
* Representing the brigade at community events, open days and public forums
* Helping welcome and induct new members into the brigade
* Assisting with identifying training, development and progression pathways for members
* Supporting officers in matching volunteers' skills, interests and availability with suitable roles
* Helping coordinate mentoring and personal development opportunities

Approximately 2–4 hours per month, with flexibility around recruitment activities and events. Additional time during recruitment drives, community days or induction periods. Involvement structured to fit around work, family and personal commitments.
Training
Induction and role‐specific training in DFES recruitment and volunteer management processes. Guidance in mentoring, member development and pathway planning. Opportunities to attend leadership, training and development workshops where available.
