Technical Director, Geotechnical
At Aurecon, you will join our Ground and Underground Engineering team in Brisbane, playing a pivotal role in delivering technically excellent outcomes across a broad range of major infrastructure and development projects. You’ll work alongside highly respected specialists and will be involved from early planning and investigation through to detailed design and construction support. Responsibilities
Provide technical leadership in the planning, design, and delivery of complex geotechnical solutions, aligned with the Aurecon Blueprint Bring recognised expertise in Geotechnical Design and/or Slope Risk Assessment and Remediation Lead by example – demonstrating inclusive leadership behaviours that inspire trust, collaboration, and high performance Champion safe, sustainable, and resilient design, ensuring compliance with all regulatory and legislative requirements Be recognised internally and externally as a technical authority in Geotechnics or Engineering Geology, particularly when navigating complex technical challenges Qualifications
Extensive experience in geotechnical engineering, with a strong focus on design, slope risk, and remediation Track record of leading technical teams and mentoring junior engineers Demonstrated ability to influence outcomes, collaborate across disciplines, and manage complex projects Commitment to inclusive leadership and fostering a culture of trust and high performance Strong communication skills, with the ability to present technical solutions to clients and stakeholders We are an equal‑opportunity employer and value diversity and inclusion.
