Your role
The NSW Government is determined to make NSW a place where everyone has access to safe and secure housing, and where experiences of homelessness are rare, brief and non-recurring. Homes NSW is a division of the Department of Communities and Justice that brings together the housing and homelessness functions of the Department of Communities and Justice, the NSW Land and Housing Corporation, Aboriginal Housing Office and key worker housing functions from across government all under one roof.
Assist in managing and implementing a range of projects across the Housing Portfolio to support and improve service delivery and optimise outcomes in portfolio performance and stakeholder relations.
What you'll do
* Assist in managing a range of projects to deliver initiatives to the Housing Portfolio.
* Assist in undertaking administrative and operational tasks, including monitoring project plans, coordinating resources and managing deliverables and tasks.
* Assist with research and analysis to support the development of key projects and budgetary targets across the Housing Portfolio.
* Assist in managing projects and undertaking analysis to review, monitor and improve the effectiveness and efficiency of service delivery within the Housing Portfolio.
* Work with the team to provide operational advice and communication to stakeholders regarding project status and implementation issues, analysing the issues in order to recommend appropriate solutions within delegation and context.
* Assist in preparing a range of project‐related documents including briefing notes, status updates, reports, budgets and discussion papers.
* Utilise and implement project management methodologies and processes in all projects.
What we're looking for
* Relevant tertiary qualifications in a related discipline are desirable, or an equivalent combination of skills, knowledge and practical experience, with a strong commitment to ongoing professional development.
* Understanding of Microsoft Office, with intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel, and a grasp of project management principles and practices.
* Demonstrated experience in, or exposure to, project work within a government or comparable environment.
* Demonstrated ability to contribute to the development of advice or outputs within a policy or project context.
* Knowledge of legislation and government processes relevant to Homes NSW or similar public sector environments.
* National Criminal History Record Check in accordance with the Disability Inclusion Act 2014.
