About the Team Lead Role
This role involves leading a team of software engineers and mentoring them to ensure they are working efficiently. The ideal candidate will have excellent leadership skills, be able to design and deliver modern web applications, and contribute to shared frontend and backend patterns.
Responsibilities
* Design and Develop Web Applications: Design and develop modern web applications using VueJS and PHP (Laravel)
* Build Frontend Components: Build front end components and UI layouts based on Figma designs
* Backend Development: Build readable and testable backend classes and business logic
* Optimisation: Optimise applications for performance, accessibility, security, and compliance
* Requirements Translation: Translate system requirements, functional specifications, and user stories into actionable technical deliverables
* Architecture Discussions: Participate in architecture and design discussions; contribute to shared frontend and backend patterns
* Code Quality: Write reusable code, unit tests, and clear technical documentation
* Accessibility and Performance: Optimise applications for accessibility, performance and low-resource usage
* Security Compliance: Ensure all solutions comply with established security, compliance, and accessibility standards
* Collaboration: Collaborate with product, UX and design to refine interaction flows and meet WCAG standards
* Test Automation: Support test automation and CI/CD pipelines
* Code Review: Conduct pull request code reviews
* Reliable Features: Work closely with QA, product and security teams to ship reliable, production-grade features
* Mentorship: Provide technical mentorship and support to team members, fostering collaboration and continuous improvement
