About The Role
Northern NSW local health district is seeking an Aboriginal Health Worker to provide flexible, holistic and culturally sensitive health services to Aboriginal clients and the community, with the aim of improving health outcomes and access to services for Aboriginal people.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide culturally sensitive health services to Aboriginal clients and the community.
* Facilitate access to health services and contribute to better health outcomes.
Qualifications and Requirements
* Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander descent; accepted in the community as Aboriginal.
* Australian citizen or permanent resident or able to legally live and work in Australia.
* Evidence of vaccination in accordance with NSW Health Occupational Assessment, Screening & Vaccination policy.
* Prior experience or training relevant to Aboriginal health services is desirable.
