IT Equipment Specialist
Job Description: We are seeking an IT equipment specialist to join our team. As a specialist, you will be responsible for inspecting and testing IT equipment to ensure quality and functionality. You will perform data sanitization to protect privacy, install and troubleshoot hardware and software systems, and provide network setup and connectivity support.
Responsibilities:
* IT Equipment Inspection & Quality Check: Perform detailed inspection, testing, and rechecking of used IT assets including laptops, desktops, monitors, hard disks, and tablets using appropriate tools.
* Hardware & Software Troubleshooting: Diagnose and troubleshoot system failures, bugs, and software/hardware-related issues.
* Computer Setup & Configuration: Assemble, install, and configure computer hardware, software, and peripherals based on user or office requirements.
* Data Sanitization & Security: Perform secure data wiping and hard disk sanitization using appropriate tools to ensure data privacy and compliance with security standards.
* Networking & Connectivity Support: Set up and configure local area networks (LANs), internet connections, and shared devices.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
You must have at least a Diploma or Bachelor degree in IT and hands-on practice of at least 1 to 3 years. A strong background in diagnosing, repairing, and configuring IT equipment is essential, along with excellent problem-solving abilities and hands-on experience in hardware and software support.
