About the Role
We are looking for highly experienced FIFO Head Chefs to work closely with the Village & Catering Managers to deliver exceptional food to our Villages. The primary focus of the role is to ensure a smooth and profitable kitchen operation that delivers outstanding guest experience.
We have roles available within Bowen Basin (Nebo, Coppabella, and Moranbah). These can be a DIDO if you live locally or FIFO role departing from Brisbane on 14:7 rosters. We also have a free staff bus that departs from Mackay.

Experience
* 5 years cumulative chef experience, preferably working in a large hotel or remote village environment (FIFO or DIDO) with significant experience supervising and managing a team of chefs
* Experience with ordering, storing, preparing and delivering food service
* Strong experience in a bulk/batch cooking environment
* Ordering, profit and wastage reporting
* Client relationship management and support
Skills and Knowledge
* Certificate III/IV in Commercial Cookery or Trade certificate essential
* Applied knowledge of HACCP principles in a bulk cooking environment
* Ability to create service schedules on a daily, weekly and monthly basis
* Applied knowledge of workplace safety systems and compliance requirements
* Intermediate skills with regards to Microsoft Office applications
* Budgetary and analytical skills
* Knowledge of relevant kitchen chemicals, including their application and storage
* Valid drivers licence (Class C) is preferred
