Description and Requirements Job Responsibilities Lenovo Design Innovation Team is building a new generation of AI Ambient devices that combine physical design with intelligent, context-aware experiences. We are looking for a designer who can bring strong industrial design craft and product execution to next-generation AI hardware. What You Will Drive • Develop industrial design concepts and product details for AI Ambient devices and accessories • Collaborate with CMF, UX, engineering, and ODM partners throughout product development • Explore how lighting, materials, form, and physical interaction can communicate AI behaviors • Support rapid concept iteration, feasibility reviews, and product refinement • Contribute to a cohesive ecosystem design language across multiple devices Job Requirements • Strong industrial design fundamentals with high sensitivity to form, detail, and manufacturability • Strong 3D CAD, visualization, and rendering skills • Proficiency in tools such as SolidWorks, KeyShot, Blender, or equivalent workflows • Ability to communicate design intent clearly through rapid visualization and iteration • Strong product development experience and understanding of manufacturing constraints • Ability to collaborate effectively with engineering teams and ODM partners • Portfolio demonstrating both concept thinking and production-level execution • Strong communication and teamwork skills Nice to Have • Experience with consumer electronics, smart devices, or AI-related products • Understanding of lighting integration, speaker design, or physical interaction systems • Familiarity with interaction prototyping or collaborative UX workflows • Experience working with global product development teams • Passion for future technology and AI-driven experiences Why This Role Matters AI is moving beyond screens into everyday environments.
