About The Role
The Maintenance Officer is responsible for maintaining the grounds of all Anyinginyi Health properties, both business and residential properties, maintaining all building needs and providing assistance in contracts, stores receivership, hazardous waste disposal and contractor requirements for new building upgrades where directed.
The Maintenance Officer is an integral part of the high standard of presentation and maintenance of Anyinginyi buildings and services to internal and external parties for property and asset delivery and management.
Responsibilities
* Respect for traditional Aboriginal Culture and cultural diversity and the ability to communicate effectively and sensitively with Aboriginal/culturally diverse people.
* Gardening experience including experience with garden irrigation systems and small engines.
* Knowledge of plants and their needs, including different soil requirements, position requirements, pruning, etc.
* Ability to identify recurring gardening and maintenance requirements.
* Ability to complete necessary documentation for task reporting and actioning.
* Ability to communicate and respond to personnel in a diverse working environment.
* Reliability, ability to work with a high level of quality, unsupervised and as part of a team.
* Understanding of Occupational Health and Safety in the workplace.
* Current NT Driver's Licence.
* Possession of or ability to obtain an OCHRE Card.
* Preferred to be fully COVID-19 vaccinated.
Desirable
* 4WD Licence.
Qualifications
Previous experience or qualifications within gardening, labouring or maintenance will be highly regarded but is not mandatory.
The Maintenance Officer requires a current NT Driver's License, free from any restrictions.
Requirements
A National Police Clearance and OCHRE Card (NT Working with Children's) card obtainment is a requirement prior to commencement in this role.
