The Opportunity
Due to continued growth, we are seeking a motivated Junior Estimator to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their career to develop core estimating skills while working alongside experienced professionals in a collaborative environment.
You will play a key role in supporting the estimating function, contributing to accurate project pricing, tender preparation, and overall commercial success.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist in the preparation of cost estimates and tenders for steel fabrication and supply projects
* Review drawings, specifications, and project documentation
* Perform quantity take-offs and assist with cost analysis
* Liaise with internal teams including sales, production, and procurement
* Source pricing from suppliers and subcontractors
* Maintain and update estimating databases and records
* Support continuous improvement of estimating processes and systems
About You
* Tertiary qualification (or currently studying) in Engineering, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or similar
* Strong numerical and analytical skills
* High attention to detail and accuracy
* Proficient in Microsoft Excel and general systems
* Strong communication skills with a willingness to learn
* Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
