Job Description
The FoodLAB Broome, ABN 40 655 089 599, is seeking a Kitchen Hand to join our team.
Offer is long term only, at least 2 years, full time contract, base salary $72,500.00 per year plus superannuation.
Must have a Certificate III in Culinary or similar. Experience of at least 1 year in the field is a must. Knowledge and professional background in Italian cuisine is an extra that will be considered.
Responsibilities
* Assist with basic food preparation as directed (e.g. washing, peeling, chopping, portioning, mise en place support);
* Support chefs during service by restocking ingredients and assisting with simple plating/handovers under supervision;
* Operate dishwashing area and clean, sanitise, store kitchen equipment and utensils;
* Maintain kitchen hygiene by cleaning and sanitising benches, work areas, floors, sinks, bins, and equipment during and after service;
* Follow food safety and hygiene procedures, including safe food handling and cross contamination prevention;
* Assist with receiving and storing deliveries, including labelling and rotating stock and correct storage in cool room/freezer/dry storage;
* Comply with WHS requirements, including safe manual handling and safe use of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
Must have good working ethic, ability to work under pressure, flexibility. Roster will be 5 days per week.
