As Infrastructure Tools Specialist based out of either Sydney or Canberra, you’ll play a key role in delivering managed services and technical support across our clients’ complex infrastructure environments. This includes supporting network automation and monitoring platforms, ensuring high availability, and working collaboratively with internal teams and vendors. Your work will directly contribute to the stability, security, and performance of mission‑critical systems.
This role leads out ITIL practices and requires technical in‑depth knowledge and experience with Linux, AD, DNS, DHCP, Splunk, SDA, DNAC – Catalyst Centre as well as expert level capability and experience with multiple monitoring and tooling platforms like Stat seeker, NetScout, Cisco ISE, TACACS, WINNER & Infoblox.
Your Day‑to‑Day
- Support change control, release management and process improvement.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure service delivery outcomes.
- Act as an escalation point for more complex tasks or troubleshooting from other support and project teams.
- Support security engineering activities including vulnerability assessments and SIEM platforms (e.g., Splunk).
- Maintain technical documentation to a high standard reflecting accurate and up‑to‑date details about monitoring and tooling platforms.
- Conduct auditing and technical uplift tasks to ensure compliance with all relevant standards and client requirements.
- Undertake pro‑active maintenance activity to ensure vulnerability remediation and version control for all supported systems.
- Complete project tasks requiring input, integration or specialisation with Tools and Monitoring systems.
- Participate in after‑hours work for planned changes and on‑call/call‑out roster.
What We’re Looking For
- Expertise in systems/network administration (Linux, AD, DNS, DHCP) and networking knowledge with CCNA certification or above.
- Experience with advanced routing technologies SDA, DNAC – Catalyst Centre as well as.
- Expert level capability and experience with multiple monitoring and tooling platforms like Stat seeker, NetScout, Cisco ISE, TACACS, WINNER & Infoblox.
- Solid working knowledge of security operations and tools (e.g., Splunk, SIEM, vulnerability management).
- Problem‑solving mindset and ability to work calmly under pressure.
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across technical and non‑technical teams.
- A proven capability for learning and a willingness to contribute to continuous service improvement.
- Australian Citizenship with Baseline or NV1 security clearance.
