Accounts Clerk Opportunity
We are seeking an Accounts Clerk to join our team in Southport, Queensland. The role would suit someone with previous administration/accounts/data entry experience or currently studying Accounting looking to apply their knowledge in practice. We also welcome school leavers who are looking for a career in office administration and accounting.
The position involves:
* Dealing with financial transactions from start to finish, ensuring timely processing and resolution of any discrepancies
* Liaising with stakeholders to investigate and resolve account-related issues
* Maintaining and distributing high-volume emails related to accounts
* Managing general journals and allocating payments from various debtors
* Raising accurate invoices as requested in a reasonable timeframe
* Completing daily floorplan payouts with multiple financiers
* Allocating payments from various financiers and other debtors
* Reconciling balance sheet accounts
* Working collaboratively with the team to meet month-end deadlines and goals
* Performing franchise-related tasks and queries as required
To be successful in this role you will need:
* Experience in an accounts department preferred
* A background in automotive dealerships is not essential but desirable
* An ability to adapt to a fast-paced work environment
* Strong communication skills both within the department and with stakeholders
* Attention to detail
* Data entry skills
* Intermediate Excel skills
