Workplace Relations Advisor | Citation HR | Melbourne or Sydney
About the Opportunity
This is a rare chance for a motivated university student to get hands‐on experience in employment relations – not coffee runs and admin, but real advisory work alongside some of Australia's best ER practitioners.
At Citation HR, you'll be part of the HR Advisory team – the engine room of the organisation – delivering practical, trusted guidance to businesses across Australia and New Zealand. You'll work on a diverse range of workplace relations matters, building foundational knowledge in Australian employment law, Modern Awards, and the Fair Work Act in a real‐world setting.
This is a part‐time role designed to fit around your studies.
What You'll Be Doing
* Delivering first‐line phone and email advice on award entitlements, leave, hours, and basic process steps to clients and association members
* Reviewing standard employment contracts, letters, and policy templates
* Researching and summarising relevant clauses from Modern Awards and the Fair Work Act
* Maintaining accurate case notes and contributing to knowledge‐sharing within the team
* Supporting senior team members with research, documentation, and client audit tasks
* Drafting articles and publications on employment relations topics for clients
* Identifying risk and escalating complex matters to senior advisors appropriately
