Newman Catholic College is seeking applications for a Mathematics Teacher to join their growing College community. The college, co‐located on James Cook University site, Smithfield, opened in 2022 and will grow to Year 12 in 2027. It offers a collaborative environment with the university to enhance learning across all year levels.
About the Role
The role of the Teacher is to support the mission of the College through the enactment of the learning and teaching program, including planning, preparing, and delivering effective learning and teaching programs, contributing to the development and implementation of college objectives, ensuring appropriate pedagogies, and maintaining a supportive school environment using data‐driven decisions.
Responsibilities
* Contribute to the development of Newman as a new College;
* Plan, prepare and deliver effective learning and teaching programs in innovative ways to foster creativity;
* Contribute to the development and implementation of the school objectives and planning;
* Establish and maintain a supportive school environment.
Teachers are accountable to and under the direction of the College Principal.
Qualifications
* Be registered or eligible to be registered with the Queensland College of Teachers.
* Be fully supportive of the ethos of Catholic Education.
