About the role
Our client is seeking a Construction Administrator to join their growing team. With projects spanning insurance repair, restoration, and new developments, you’ll play a key role in managing supplier contracts, supporting project delivery, and ensuring financial efficiency across multiple sites in South East Queensland and Northern NSW.

Duties
- Prepare, review, and administer head contracts, subcontracts, and supplier agreements.
- Issue and track purchase orders, variations, progress claims, and Extensions of Time (EOT’s)
- Document and run all “Cost Plus” jobs accurately and in a timely manner
- Maintain contract registers and ensure timely notifications under contract clauses.
- Assist with procurement, tender evaluations, and subcontractor onboarding.
- Work out of multiple inboxes concurrently
- Liaise with estimators, site managers, and project managers on contract performance.
- Coordinate the preparation and submission of DA, CDC,CC and OC.
- Liaise with councils, certifiers, consultants, and stakeholders to ensure smooth approval pathways.
- Track timelines and manage conditions of consent and compliance requirements.
- Support the transition from planning approval to construction commencement.
- Coordinate consultant reports, inspections, and compliance documentation required under CC or DA conditions.
- Assist to oversee construction activities to ensure works are in accordance with approved drawings and conditions of consent.
- Assist project managers and site supervisors with documentation, quality assurance, and site coordination.
- Ensure timely lodgement of documentation required for OC issuance.
- Coordinate daily and weekly programs with trades and subcontractors
- Update project schedules and push long-lead items early
- Interpret scopes, plans, specifications, and ITPs with clarity
- Run coordination meetings with clear actions and owners
- Track progress, risks, and delays — and communicate them early
- Analyse, manage, and mitigate risks ensuring all OHS requirements are met
- Contribute to and comply with all statutory legislation including the relevant Health and Safety policies and procedures applicable
- Establish and manage any major and complex loss construction projects from conception to completion
- Maintain project documentation: ITPs, checklists, RFIs, procurement logs, progress reports
- Maintain Safety Documentation for all jobs/sites
- Skills & Experience
- Tertiary qualification in Building, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related discipline
- 2+ years’ experience in a similar role
- Strong contract administration and negotiation skills
- Excellent communication and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
