Assistant Building Surveyor Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Assistant Building Surveyor to join our building permits team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in building surveying, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assess building permit applications
* Review building permit documentation
* Liaise directly with relevant consultants, authorities, and clients to resolve queries
* Provide professional technical advice to key stakeholders
* Prepare reports and statutory documentation as necessary
Required Skills and Qualifications:
The successful candidate will possess the following qualifications and skills:
* A relevant Diploma, Advanced Diploma, or Degree qualification in building surveying
* Minimum 3 years-experience in building surveying
* Registered Building Practitioner (BS-L or BS-U), or actively working towards registration
* Sound knowledge of the Building Act, Regulations, and Building Code of Australia
* Proficiency in building surveying techniques, construction standards, and sustainable building practices
* Excellent report writing skills and attention to detail
* Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients, team members, and stakeholders at all levels
* Capacity to work independently and as part of a team
