Senior Lecturer in Indigenous Knowledge
Southern Cross University's Gnibi College of Indigenous Australian Peoples is seeking a Senior Lecturer to provide academic leadership across teaching, research, community engagement, and Higher Degree Research (HDR) supervision.
This is a key role within the College, with a strong focus on leading HDR supervision and contributing to a high-quality research training environment. You will support HDR candidates through their academic journey, fostering rigorous, culturally grounded research and strong completion outcomes.
Alongside this, you will contribute to the design and delivery of Indigenous Knowledge programs, including teaching in areas such as Indigenous philosophies. You will play an important role in shaping curriculum, strengthening research capability and contributing to a connected, values-driven academic community.
You will make an impact by:
* Leading and supervising Higher Degree Research candidates to successful completion
* Contribute to a strong, supportive HDR and research training environment
* Designing and delivering high-quality, student-centred teaching
* Driving curriculum innovation in Indigenous Knowledge programs
* Contributing to research outputs, publications and funding activity
* Building respectful, collaborative relationships with communities and stakeholders

Qualifications and experience
To succeed in this role, you will also need:
* A PhD in Indigenous Knowledge or a related discipline
* Proven experience supervising Higher Degree Research candidates
* Evidence of high-quality teaching and curriculum development and leadership
* A strong research track record, including publications and grant success
* The ability to work respectfully and effectively in culturally diverse contexts

Full-time, continuing (permanent)
* Located at Lismore, NSW 2480. Gold Coast, QLD 4225, or Coffs Harbour, NSW 2450 may also be considered. Relocation assistance is available, making it easier to join our regional communities.
* ACAD Level C. The base salary ranges from $139,568 - $160,473 per annum, plus 17% employer's contribution to superannuation. The total remuneration package is up to $187,753.
